Is Rector Cobos a hotel?
No, we are a charming tourist apartment, managed personally and attentively.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 3:00 PM. Check-out by 12:00 PM (noon).
How do I get in? Can I arrive late?
You open the door with a virtual key on your phone (you’ll need mobile data), so you can arrive at any time from 3:00 PM. There is no reception: before you arrive, we send you everything you need to get in, plus a house guide for your stay.
Can I drop off my luggage before check-in?
Not at the apartment, but Salamanca Lockers (Calle San Pablo, 29) is very close by: a smart, automated luggage locker service in the centre of Salamanca.
Are babies and pets allowed?
Babies are very welcome and a cot is available. Pets are not allowed.
Is the wifi good enough for remote work?
Yes. The apartment has 600 Mb wifi, plenty for video calls and comfortable remote working.
Are there any stairs or steps?
The building has a lift. Inside the apartment there is just one step down to the patio.
What is the cancellation policy?
Payment for your booking is split into two parts: 50% when you confirm the reservation and the remaining 50% seven days before arrival. If you cancel 7 days or more before your arrival date, we'll refund 100% of the amount paid. If you cancel 5 or 6 days before arrival, we'll refund 50%. If you cancel less than 5 days before arrival (including no-shows), the booking is non-refundable. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the booking. Is the patio for exclusive use?
Yes, it's a private space reserved only for the apartment's guests during their stay.

Data controller
The controller responsible for the personal data you provide through this website is PINSALCO S.L. Full identification details (tax ID, registered address and contact) are available in the Legal Notice (Spanish only). For any question about your data, you can write to atrectorcobos@gmail.com.
What data we process and why
Through this website's form we process the data you voluntarily provide (name, email, phone number, stay dates and number of guests), solely to manage your availability or booking request and respond to your enquiry.
If you use the availability search tool and complete a booking through it, the data you enter in that process — including payment data — is handled directly by Lodgify and, where applicable, by the payment gateway Lodgify has configured, under their own privacy policies. This website never receives or stores that payment data.
Legal basis
The legal basis for processing your data is your consent, given by ticking the form's consent checkbox, and the performance of pre-contractual measures at your request — handling your booking enquiry — under Article 6.1(b) GDPR.
Who we share your data with
We do not share your data with third parties except where legally required. To operate the website we rely on the following providers, which act as processors or, for data they handle directly, as independent controllers:
- FormSubmit (Devro Labs) — receives and forwards the contact/booking form data by email. It is a third-party service that does not publish detailed information about its location or data retention period; we note this for transparency.
- Lodgify (Codebay Solutions Limited) — runs the availability search tool and, if you complete a booking through it, the booking and payment process at checkout.lodgify.com. It acts as a data processor under its Data Processing Addendum (lodgify.com/dpa) and may use sub-processors, including whichever payment gateway it has configured at any given time.
- Google Maps (Google LLC) — only if you accept the relevant cookies, to show you the apartment's location map.
International transfers
Some of the providers above (such as Google or Lodgify) may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area. In those cases they state that they apply the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We recommend reviewing their own privacy policies for further detail.
Retention period
We keep the form data for as long as necessary to handle your request and, afterwards, for the periods required by applicable law (tax, guest registration, etc.). Data for bookings managed directly through Lodgify is retained under its own privacy policy.
Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to atrectorcobos@gmail.com, attaching a copy of an ID document. You are also entitled to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) if you believe the processing of your data does not comply with the law.
